It's no hidden secret that the Sports minister and and the FECAFOOT boss have been at daggers drawen ever since Eto'o took over office.
But what's happening between these two: Here is the time line of their now irreparable damage to their working relationship
Back during campaigns for FECAFOOT, Prof. Narcisse had openly supported Mbombo Njoya along with CAF to win the FECAFOOT race. Eto'o went ahead to win the race and their rivalry went to the open.
Few months after taking office, Sport minister unilaterally extended the made of former Lions Coach Portuguese born Conceicao even though the law gives that responsibility to FECAFOOT. Eto'o rejected the contract extension and accused the minister of acting beyond his mandates. The Presidency intervened and supported Eto'o and the big 9 sacked Antonio and appointed Song as head coach to the shagrin of the external relations professor managing our sports.

The victory for Eto'o was seen as an embarassment for the mimister and their power play now playing in the open
In September 2022, Eto'o boycotted the world cup trophy tour in Cameroon which was hosted by the minister. His seat during the ceremony held at the Sport ministry was awkwardly empty, the big 9 refused sending even a representative as he was busy with other private events in Qatar.
The minister responded with a show of his own. He gare fully received and backed Yannick Noah's efforts to get Coq Sprlortive, à French kit maker to dress the lions for the world cup despite the fact that Eto'o had chosen another kit maker One All Sport. The professor even granted an audience to the French remiss star at his mimsiety.
Earlier this year, Eto'o went public, accusing without calling names some government officials of withholding money meant for football development which has been approved by the head of state. His public outburst, seen as a direct attack to the minister forced the money to be paid to FECAFOOT account the very next day.
