During a post-election press conference Sunday, Rene Sadi, Interior Minister, call all four political parties who contested in the first ever senate election in the country to remain calm until the Supreme Court sitting in lieu of the constitutional council proclaims results latest by April 29. They are the Social Democratic Front of John Fru Ndi, Cameroon Peoples Democratic Movement of Paul Biya, Cameroon Democratic Union of Adamou Ndam Njoya and the National Union of Democracy and Progress of Maigari Bello Bouba.
The first ever senatorial elections in Cameroon took place Sunday in a hitch-free manner registering a voter turnout of 98 percent, Elections Cameroon, the country’s election management body said after polls. But here and there, the over 3,000 observers could point out some minor hitches.
