Miss Cameroon 2013, Denise Valérie Ayena, has been announced Tuesday September 17, as one of the finalists of the Talent Contest at the ongoing 63rd edition of the Miss World pageant that has opened recently in Indonesia’s predominantly Hindu resort island of Bali.

The finalists in the talent competition include candidates from Australia, British Virgin Islands, Indonesia, Ukraine, Wales, Canada, Dominica, Hong Kong, Panama, Cameroon (Denise Valérie Ayena), Slovakia and Trinidad and Tobago.
The finalists were divided into three groups – singers, dancers and musicians. Miss World announced that the 12 contestants, who made the cut in the pageant’s talent competition, will meet in the finals set to be held on September 22.
Cameroon’s Denise Valérie Ayena who featured in the talent contest in the category of musicians was born and raised in Douala, a coastal city in southern Cameroon. Describing herself as a “cheerful and bubbly person”, Denise is currently enrolled at a South African university where she is studying Communications. Her life ambition is to become a successful broadcast journalist, preferably covering events.
Having an artistic nature, Denise enjoys painting and drawing, as well as traditional African dancing. In her spare time she enjoys watching motocross, her favourite book is the Da Vinci Code and she considers herself a “culinary tourist”, delighting in trying new flavours of food.
