Indomitable Lions striker, Vincent Aboubakar, who scored 17 times in Ligue 1 last season, has signed a four-year deal at the Estadio do Dragao after FC Porto bid €3million to secure 30 per cent of his economic rights.
FC Porto knockout Hull City to the signing of Lorient forward, 22-year-old Vincent Aboubakar and his contract includes a €50m buy-out clause. Aboubakar will swap Ligue 1 for the Primeira Liga after scoring 17 goals for the Stade du Moustoir side in 38 games.
Hull City boss Steve Bruce admitted earlier last week the Cameroon international was one of a number of forwards the club was interested in bringing in to replace the departed Shane Long. Speaking to Sky Sports News HQ, Bruce confirmed Hull were looking at Aboubakar but maintained they had yet to make a formal bid.
Aboubakar is among the 25 players called to camp for the 2015 AFCON qualifiers. Cameroon takes on DR Congo on September 6 and Ivory Coast on September 10. Training sessions in the buildup to the games will take place at the CAF Excellence Center Mbankomo in the outskirt of Yaounde.
