Former Miss Cameroon USA, Larissa Ngangoum, has been crowned Miss Cameroon 2014. The 24-year-old outsmarted 20 other finalists in a pageant held at the Yaounde Conference Centre on Friday July 25.

The 1m80 tall and fourth year pharmacy student takes over from
Valérie Ayena, Miss Cameroon 2013.
Larissa Ngangoum is a true beauty - the real deal. With beauty and brains she is the total package. She is a medical student who is 100% trilingual (English, French and Spanish) and who wants to give back to her people.
Although Larissa was born in Cameroon, she moved to the United States during her teen years where she studied pharmacy in the state of Maryland. With her win, Larissa will represent Cameroon at the Miss World 2014 pageant which is to be held in London.

Abbe Genevieve, a master student in International Public Law while another law student

The contestants competed in a number of events, including lifestyle and fitness swimsuit, evening wear and talent during the event, which was held in Yaounde.
Since 2002, the Miss Cameroon Organizing Committee (COMICA) has been focusing on the revalorization of young Cameroonian women by celebrating, once a year, her intelligence, beauty and values.
