Former General Manager of CAMTEL, heading to SCC Twitter
David Nkotti Emane, former general manager of Cameroon’s national telecommunications and internet service provider (CAMTEL), will this Wednesday at 10am, appear before judges at the Special Criminal Court in Yaoundé.

Although no reason has been attached to this call, this is not the first time ,he is being called up for questioning at the country’s feared court room.

In 2016, a restriction order was issued by the Special Criminal Court (SCC), barring David Nkotto and some other senior staffs of CAMTEL, from leaving the country. The order was dispatched across the borders on the 2nd of March 2016.

Former director of finance anf budget, Enow Kenneth Agbor, Nganou Boris, former Director of human resource management Dieutoss Evariste, marketing expert Tsaam Gah Marcelino, chief of service for marketing Asssouzo'o Benjamin and Mfou'ou Jean Claude, were all the senior staffs of CAMTEL, banned along with David Nkotto.

He was accused by auditors of the supreme state audit and the National Corruption Commission (CONAC), for financial lapses between 2010-2015. In a special report published in2016_ the supreme state audit mentioned the absence of transparency in the management of public funds at CAMTEL.

Appointed in 2006 as General Manager of CAMTEL, David Nkotto was sacked through a presidential decree of December , appointing Judith Yah Sunday epse Achidi, as his replacement.

With Nkotto gone, many expected judicial proceedings could be revived on his mismanagement case.
Operation Sparrow Hawk is an initiative of President Paul Biya, to trap down corrupt and embezzlers of public funds.

Recently, the former minister of defense, Edgar Alain Mebe Ngo'o, fell into its dragnet. There are fears that same thing could happen to David Nkotto Emane.
