The residence of Honourable Mbah Ndam Joseph, SDF parliamentarian and vice president of the National Assembly has been burnt down by unknown individuals in his native village Batibo, Momo Division of the North West region.

The incidence occurred on Sunday night, and has brought tears and uncertainty to his family. It came at a time when the honourable Mbah Ndam was announced as candidate running for parliament during the February 9 municipal and legislative elections.

He is one of those who received an angry mob at his residence in 2017, who pressurised him to step down from parliament, a decision he reluctantly took.

Few months after that he continued attending parliamentary sessions and never signed any decision to step down. This annoyed several Ambazonia fanatics, who called and threaten his life.

Despite several calls from armed separatists to see the parliamentarian resign from office and stop him from participating in next year's election, he pushed ahead with his ambition.

Some SDF councillors have recently been kidnapped by suspected armed separatists for daring into the list of next year's election.
The attack on his home has been widely condemned by a good number of English speaking Cameroonians.

One of them, is the President of the opposition party, USDP of Prince Ekosso who says worse things might happen, if those directly concerned with the crisis don' t seat up.

"its really with a heavy heart that i learnto of the burning down of the house of Hon. Mbah Ndam In fact, we allknow where this thing is leading to, bur some of us dont want to say it. If in 6 months time adequate measures are not taken, we will all ask ourselves.", he said.

" if this is the country we hae been clamouring for. I pray those on whom rest the final decisions to do the right thing search their consecineand catch up with the situation which is already out of hand.", Prince Ekosso added.
